A
Hingham man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after a police received a
complaint that a man was exposing himself in his car in a youth athletic field
and public park parking lot.
On
August 22, 2018 at 3:32pm Officers were dispatched to the Lynch Athletic Field
parking lot at 224 Beal St. after a witness called police to report a man was
sitting in a car with his driver’s door open, naked from the waist down, exposing
and touching himself. The witness said before Officers arrived children and
adults were in the same parking lot on bicycles heading into Bare Cove Park.
The witness also took a cell phone photo of the man before Officers arrived.
Officers
arrived in the lot, walked up to the car, and observed the man still exposing
himself. His pants were on the passenger seat. The driver’s door was open
facing Beal St. The parking lot is for the Lynch Athletic Field which is a
youth baseball and football field. It is also a parking area and entrance for
Bare Cove Park.
Arrested
was David L. Hurley, age 83, of 20 Brewer Beach Road, Hingham, MA. He was
charged with:1) Open and Gross Lewdness 2) Disorderly Conduct 3) Disturbing the
Peace. After booking, he was released on his personal recognizance. He was
arraigned at Hingham District Court on August 23. He was released on $5,000
surety with conditions that he stay away from all public parks and schools and
have no unsupervised contact with any children under the age of 18. He is due
