Mission Statement
The mission of the Hingham Police Department continues to be providing the citizens of the Town of Hingham as well as visitors, with the expanded atmosphere of Public Safety through improved efficiency of operations.
- The Hingham Police Department continues to strive and target the following for improved Public Safety, however, are not limited to these specific areas alone.
- Deployment of Officers trained in Community Policing in targeted troubled areas.
- Increase training of employees.
- Improvement of Police Facilities and Equipment
- Continued improvement of the structure of the department
- Continue to improve safety for travelers;
- Increased suppression of crime in order to accomplish these goals, the Hingham Police Department will continue to seek cost-effective and innovative ways to implement same.
- This department continues to actively seek grant funding, which in the past, has afforded this department successful implementation of many prior goals.
