Hingham, MA – A 32 year old Weymouth man was arrested after he allegedly pointed a gun at another motorist while in traffic during a road rage incident.
On June 19, 2025 at 3:03pm a driver said he was heading east on Lincoln St. (Route 3A) when he noticed a motorcycle going in the same direction passing cars. When both were stopped in traffic at the intersection of Shipyard Dr. the driver sounded his horn and the motorcyclist made hand gestures. The driver moved his car forward and the motorcyclist took a gun from his waist band and pointed it at the driver’s windshield. The motorcyclist then put the gun back in a holster in his waist band and turned into the Hingham Shipyard.
The driver called 9-1-1. Nearby Officers saw a motorcycle parked at the rear of a business on Shipyard Dr. and found the motorcycle owner inside. He was an employee who had just arrived for work. His motorcycle, description and clothing matched the driver’s description. Inside the business, in a bin where employees leave their personal belongings, was a loaded 9mm semi-automatic handgun registered to the motorcyclist.
Arrested was Wiallace Yuri Alcantara, age 32, of 23 Adams Place, Weymouth, MA. He was charged with: 1) Assault with a Dangerous Weapon 2) Improper Storage of a Firearm 3) Disorderly Conduct. He has a License to Carry a Firearm. After booking he was released after posting $1,500 cash bail for his arraignment at Hingham District Court on June 20, 2025. ### Contact P.I.O. Lt. Steven Dearth
