[ARCHIVED] Man Arrested After Crashing Stolen Motorcycle

Hingham, MA – A Quincy man was arrested after crashing a stolen motorcycle on Sunday.

On Sunday, August 24, 2025 at 1:53am a Lieutenant was stopped at the intersection of Shipyard Dr. and Lincoln St. (Route 3A) when a motorcycle heading south on Lincoln St. drove through a red light. The Lieutenant, who was in a marked police SUV, began following the motorcycle without any emergency lights to avoid a possible pursuit. The motorcycle immediately turned right onto Fottler Rd., struck a curb and crashed. The rider was thrown from the motorcycle and injured.

The rider, who was wearing a helmet with a full facemask, suffered non-life threatening injuries. Officers learned that he did not have a driver’s license, the license plate attached to the motorcycle did not belong on it, and the motorcycle had been reported stolen in Boston. The rider was placed under arrest and transported by Hingham Fire Paramedics to South Shore Hospital. After being treated at the hospital he was booked at the Hingham Police station.

Arrested was German Quinones, age 50, of 356 Washington Street, Quincy, MA. He was charged with: 1) Receiving Stolen Property Over $1200 2) Unlicensed Operation 3) Attaching License Plate 4) Uninsured Vehicle 5) Unregistered Vehicle 6) Red Light Violation. He was released after posting $500 bail for his arraignment at Hingham District Court on August 25, 2025. ### P.I.O. Lt. Steven Dearth
